Major Recruitment was launched in 1992 Morley (Leeds). Initially the company focused on Industrial temporary recruitment, providing bespoke recruitment solutions to local companies.

Throughout the 1990's the company steadily raised its profile across Yorkshire and now today Major holdings oversee their Industrial sector known as Major Industrial. Major Industrial is the Major Groups first division, set up in Leeds in 1992.
