Position: Operations Consultant

Area: Huddersfield Industrial

Reporting To: Branch Manager

Purpose of the Role

To provide input, support and development to the branch, and the wider Industrial Division in order to enhance, develop and improve candidate procedures, client service & administrative, payroll and operational processes.

The Position

Working under the direction and alongside the Branch Manager you will oversee and support branch operations. You will service and develop existing clients, manage and develop key accounts, alongside providing payroll and administration support to the team. Working closely with the Branch Manager and HR, you will work to ensure administrative procedure is followed correctly and will oversee timely and accurate payroll and compliance. You will ensure team has the correct knowledge and procedures in place in order to provide effective support to candidates and clients.


• Manage existing client relationships to ensure all service requirements are met.

• Develop and grow existing client accounts by monitoring availability, service levels and ensuring an efficient payroll function

• Maintaining an efficient and effective administration function for the team

• Ensuring weekly payroll for temporary workers and contractors is accurate and timely with minimal error

• Working with Head Office to ensure accurate information and all our payment processes are efficient and productive

• Managing a continuous candidate flow of skilled and qualified applicants incorporating a timely response to CVs

• Ensuring the branch maintain full candidate compliance including referencing

• Overseeing AWR compliance with support from HR

• Supporting with escalated pay queries and issues

• Ensuring an updated and validated database to provide accurate and current sales information, via supporting the Consultants with knowledge and training

Development of the role would include:

• Senior Operations Consultant (Branch) Account Manager (Onsite) Contracts Manager (Onsite / Multi-sites)

• Delivering Training to team members

• Assisting with supporting new team members

• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Payroll / Internal Issues

• Working with H/O to develop process improvement and implement new systems and procedures Measuring Success

• Consistent growth of client accounts as per temp growth targets set by BM • Payroll Error rates reduced to – 3%

• Branch Compliance to 98%

• Develop own desk from clients won or clients passed by sales team to deliver a minimum of 6K per month

• Develop 2 new / lapsed clients per quarter
