The Company

The Role

You’ll be responsible for providing a high quality truck and trailer rental services to businesses in the Exeter area through the effective management of fleet operations and administration at the branch.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the condition of the hire fleet is maintained to a high standard at all times.

Who are you?

  • The job holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence
  • Background in a customer service or similar industry
  • Good computer skills and confident in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of asset rental, transport and distribution would be advantageous
  • The ability to perform routine cleaning and maintenance and to fully inspect trucks and trailers, as required

You will need to possess excellent customer service skills, be presentable, professional, reliable and a dedicated team player.
You will be looking after the service and parts desk and ongoing training will be provided

Motor trade experience or retail customer service experience is advantageous.
You will assist incoming customers on a daily basis as well as talking to prospective customers. As you will be working as part of a team, good communication skills and IT skills are essential as well as being able to work on your own initiative as and when required, and the ability to prioritise your own workload.

Knowledge of motor trade systems such as 1link, pinnacle or kerridge a definite advantage.

You will need a full uk driving licence for this role
Hours are Monday to Friday between 8.30 – 6pm and on a Saturday morning rota of 1 in 3

Salary is experience dependent and offers a basic of upto £24000 plus bonus giving a realistic ote in the region of £32,000

7.5 Tonne/HGV 2 Drivers

Position: Home Delivery Driver (7.5 tonne/HGV 2 Driver) – Two person team

Location: Exeter

Daily Start time: 06:00

Shifts: 5 on, 3 off rolling shift pattern

Candidates MUST hold a C1 or CAT C (7.5 tonne/HGV 2) category entitlement on their driving licence and ALSO a driver Digi card and Driver CPC

We are looking for Drivers who:

* Demonstrate a respectful, positive attitude towards others. Behave in a fair and open manner

* Work effectively as part of a team – role is working as a 2 person crew

* Work safely within the Health, safety environmental guidelines and insist others do the same

* Have a flexible attitude towards your work

* Hold a valid C1 (7.5 Tonne) Driving Licence

* Have a valid Digi tachograph card and Driver CPC

* Have knowledge of the geographical area

* Have basic mechanical understanding

This is a home delivery role which would involve the delivery of items up to and including 79kg as part of a 2 person crew.

A typical day would consist of between 25 and 40 deliveries to customer homes / premises spanning an 11 hour period (typical finish times are around 16:00 to 17:00)

Due to the nature of the role the candidate(s) would be required to be in good health and able to carry out manual handling tasks without issue.
