Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a dynamic and expanding organisation that are located on the outskirts of Halesowen.
Please note this role will be office based during the first three months with potential for hybrid at a later date.
Duties and tasks will include:
- Managing the purchase ledger using purchase invoice scanning system
- Responsibility for the prompt and accurate input of invoices once authorised
- 3 way matching invoices to orders and receipts
- Complete supplier statement reconciliation
- Reconcile and post staff expenses and credit cards
- Managing and resolving supplier queries
- Help develop the OCR system by actively correcting miscoding
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date systems – investigating any discrepancies
- Raising payments and paying suppliers on time utilising bank software and producing weekly payment runs for review
- Support with other finance duties as required
Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:
- Proficiency with computers and accounting software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel skills
- An inquisitive approach to work with strong attention for detail
- The ability to interrogate business systems and rectify errors
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- The ability to explain information in a clear and understandable manner to non-finance professionals
- Strong team player with a willingness to assist and learn from colleagues
- Ability to work in a changing and flexible organisation
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm. Parking is available
