Pay Rate £13.63 an hour.
Rotating shift Pattern including 0600- 1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600
Production experience required.
Machine Operator experience required

Major Recruitment are looking for production operatives for our client based in Henlow. This role is for a full-time position with the potential of a permanent contract following a successful trial period.

Main tasks and responsibilities- Production Operative

Replacement of running parts to ensure continuous production.
Quality Control Checks on profiles
To report potential quality issues to supervisor
Continual learning of production processes
Be aware of scheduling requirements and work to meet targets.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
To adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
To report any unsafe acts or Health, Safety and Environmental incidents.

Ideal Candidate – Production Operative

Good dexterity and experience working with power tools.
Able to lift to 20KG.
Excellent time keeping skills and attendance.
Able to work unsupervised and part of a team.
Good communication skills
Previous experience working in a hands-on Manufacturing environment.
CNC operating or setting experience would be desirable but not essential.

Attendance bonus available

Hourly rate Monday – Friday: £12.32

Overtime after 7.5 hours Monday- Friday: £18.48

Saturday overitme rate: £18.48

Sunday overtime rate: £24.64

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join their Manufacturing client based in Henlow. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, and you will receive a permanent contract following successful completion of the probationary period. You will need to have previous experience in a Manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of factory practices.

About the role: General Operative

To cut, bag & tape bespoke product lengths as per schedule

To operate the mould cutting machine and cut moulds as per schedule.
Perform random QC checks
To prioritise daily workload as to the manufacturing schedule
To communicate any issues to Production Manager
Forklift truck driving advantageous but not essential
Engineering background advantageous but not essential
To adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
To report any unsafe acts or Health, Safety and Environmental incidents
Maintain good level of housekeeping
Any other ad hoc duties
This role does involve some heavy lifting

About you: General Operative

Comfortable with some heavy lifting & physical elements to the role
Have a keen eye for detail to support with quality standards and management
Be able to work on a full-time basis, and aiming for a perm contract opportunity
Any FLT license would be advantageous, but not essential
Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
