  • Fabrication and Mig welding of our Steel Hoppers, Bailers, and roto crush products

  • Time Served within fabrication (5+ Years), (essential)
  • Can read and understand detailed CAD drawings in 2D and third Angle Projection (essential)
  • Experience working with powered tools such as grinders and drills. (essential)
  • Experience and confident in using, Press Brakes, Guillotines, Pedestal Drills, Kingsland, Steel Band saws (full training will be provided for the right candidates).
  • Be able to produce to a high standard of work and with minimal supervision. (essential)
  • Willingness to develop and learn new techniques (essential)
  • A positive attitude towards teamwork and Health and Safety in the work place. (essential)

What are the details of the role?

  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, Friday 8am to 2:30pm

Freight Forwarding Sales Executive

Our client is currently looking to hire a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive for their growing shipping and logistics company based in Preston. Their head office is in Preston with our other offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.

They provide a one stop solution for their customer’s logistics requirements with an excellent one to one personal service. They endeavor to support their customer’s growing logistics requirements with the best technical and software solutions and in the most eco-friendly way.

Sales experience within the freight industry is required for this role.

The Role:

The successful individual would be costing, quoting and operating their cargo with any suppliers they see fit.

Using enterprising skills however they think best, pursuing their preferred options to maximize their sales and thereby, generate profit.

Handling and growing portfolio of clients, handling both sales and operations

Negotiating freight rates and determining profits.

Lead generation and client profiling Networking with trade bodies, sales professionals and service providers

Company car can be provided but this is optional.

Candidate must be eligible to work within the UK.

Salary is £35k plus commission.

Warehouse Operative/Administrator

This role will be working in both the warehouse and the office. The role is based on RedScar Industrial Estate.

Responsibilities as follows:

Warehousing:

  • Outside: Counterbalance licence required to unload containers and load trailers.
  • Inside: Reach truck license required to pick and pack; wrap pallets, label products for despatch, processing returns and general warehouse / stores duties (adhoc).

Warehouse Administration:

  • An intermediate level of computer skills will be required as the role involves scanning through orders and inputting the relevant information in to courier websites.
  • Dealing with any email queries that may come through to the warehouse.
  • Book in certain orders with customers (in manager absence only).

Requirements:

Essential criteria:

  • External (Valid) FLT Counterbalance Licence (not an in house only licence)

Desirable criteria:

  • Reach Truck licence (not an in house only licence)

What are the particulars of the role?

  • Working days: Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 16:30pm.
  • Rate of pay: £10.30 per hour (weekly pay).
  • Term: Temporary for 12 weeks, perm after 12 weeks based on performance and attendance.

Opportunity to obtain a Reach Truck licence will be offered once your performance and attendance levels have been identified as satisfactory through employment.

Your role of an Optometrist involves
