Teaching Assistant

Location: SO18-Southampton

Pay rate/Salary:£70-£85 per day DOE/Salary up to £18,500

Hours: 8.20am-3.30pm Monday to Friday term time

Contract: Temp to perm (12 weeks via the agency and then onto a contract)

IMMEDIATE START subject to references and DBS check

School Staffing Solutions are looking for someone who would like to work as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school in the SO18 area of Southampton. A primary school needs a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 in the mornings with a pupil in Year 3 and then in the afternoons to support children in a SEN unit within the school.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with children in either paid or voluntary capacity. You must be patient and nurturing in their approach and it would be helpful if you had an understanding of SEN.

About you:

• School based experience as a Teaching Assistant role is desirable or experience working with children.

• You will need to be passionate about guiding children of all abilities to reach their full potential
• Good sense of humour
• Able to build relationships
• Hard working and reliable
• Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply

SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in school in the SO16 area of Southampton. The school supports children who have social, emotional and mental health needs. Some of whom have experienced trauma and as a result of this is can find it hard being in school and often don’t engage in their learning.

We are looking for someone who is patient and nurturing in their approach and who is also resilient and able to deal with challenging/aggressive behaviour whilst helping the children learn to regulate their feelings and emotions.
