Team Leader needed in Marden ( Near Maidstone/Tonbridge)

Monday to Friday – Full time / Permanent position

Hours Rotating weekly

06:45 to 15:00

14:45 to 23:00

22:45 to 07:00

Salary up to £40k dependent upon experience

Duties

The Shift Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that new operators receive proper training

The Shift Team Leader is responsible for planning the running of the shift in accordance with schedules, resources available and to the priorities set by CST.Will ensure that his assistants are trained so that the shift can run equally well in his absence.

The Shift Team Leader is expected to monitor the welfare of those responsible to him and enforce the company rules. Monitor the performance of all those who report to him and take any action to rectify inadequacies. Monitor staffing level in relation to Work In Progress and inform Production Manager (with supporting evidence) when a change is required. Deal with matters of discipline as per company procedure.

The Shift Team Leader is to ensure that all relevant company documents are completed accurately. Modifying and introducing new documentation as required.

The Shift Team Leader is to ensure that all quality procedures are followed and audited to establish their effectiveness.

The Shift Team Leader to ensure that all systems and methods are effectively used on shift..

The Shift Team Leader to make the best use of labour, machines and material. Promote and introduce cost saving ideas.

The Shift Team Leader to have an understanding in trouble-shooting machines, ancillary equipment and processes. Be capable of insert changing / colour changing and other relevant skills appertaining to keeping the moulding machines running. To make recommendations for repairs / maintenance of tools in writing. Be capable of reading component and tool drawings.

The Shift Team Leader must be capable of working within a set budget.

The Ideal candidate will have management experience (30+ staff) and Manufacturing background.

Hours: 06:00 to 14.00 and 14:00 to 22:00 – rotating weekly

Salary: up to £40 – dependent on experience

Duties:

·Ensure day to day maintenance is carried out on Negri Bossi / Engel / Fanuc/ Arburg injection moulding machines (range from 40 tonnes to 850 tonnes), Sepro/Viper robots and injection moulding ancillary equipment.

·Deal with breakdowns as and when they arise

·Ensure all ancillary equipment is kept in safe working order, carrying out maintenance / repairs as required.

·Help support the Maintenance team leader with ensuring services of following equipment is carried out on a regular basis

Water chillers

Compressed air system

PAT testing

Periodic electrical testing

Heating

Screw cleaner

Air conditioning

·Carry out responsibilities listed under Fire Procedure.

·Maintain the clean room facilities in accordance with the maintenance schedule.

They are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their operation.

Role

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of equipment and resources to ensure the plant is running efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure day to day maintenance is carried out on Negri Bossi / Engel / Fanuc/ Arburg injection moulding machines (range from 40 tonnes to 850 tonnes), Sepro/Viper robots and injection moulding ancillary equipment.
  • Deal with breakdowns as and when they arise, ability to prioritise most urgent and ensure all completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all ancillary equipment is kept in safe working order, carrying out maintenance / repairs as required.
  • Work with the Maintenance team leader and assistant to order spares / parts required.
  • Carry out general day to day maintenance of both factory and office buildings, car parks and yard areas.
  • Help support the Maintenance team leader with ensuring services of following equipment is carried out on a regular basis

The Maintenance engineer ensures that safe-working practices are maintained, in accordance with the Safety Manual and other regulatory requirements. Must ensure they follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.

Reports

To the Maintenance team leader and in his absence will take guidance on priorities from the operations and/or Production Manager.
