Major Recruitment are currently seeking an assistant credit controller to join our clients existing team. This is a new opportunity to join a fast growing company that are now looking to strengthen their credit control team, our client is looking for someone with a strong admninistration and customer service background who is willing to learn all aspects of credit control.

Job description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Working with the credit team tio chase a portfolio of clients by telephone, letter & email regarding the collection of debt in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Clearly and concisely documenting all action taken in regards to debt chasing, following up calls and actions agreed with the customer
  • Work towards targets for cash collection to reduce outstanding debt exposure to the group
  • Reconciliation of accounts to ensure statements produced are accurate and cash/credit notes are posted correctly
  • Deal with disputes and queries relating to invoicing. Speaking to branches and customers in order to resolve in a timely manner
  • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure excellent customer service
  • Ability to identify potential problem accounts, recommending accounts to be placed on stop or to go legal
  • Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business like image to all customers, potential customers and people within the business

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced credit control role
  • Knowledge of Sage 200
  • Professional and confident manner
  • Work well in a team-based organisation
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise their workload
