Aerospace Technician

This global dynamic parts supplier to the Aviation industry, also covering the military sector, is now recruiting for x15 Brake/Wheel Technicians to join them at their new site near Derby.

You will be playing a vital role in the company providing component maintenance on aircraft brakes or wheels

You will be competent in:

  • Aircraft/automotive engineering, or you are from a similar field in a production environment.
  • Reading and deciphering technical drawings
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools, disassembly, assembly, blasting and cleaning machine
  • Clear command of the English Language, speaking and writing.
  • Computer literate with knowledge on various computer programs
  • You consider safety and reliability as paramount in your daily work routine

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspection and testing of aircraft brake/wheel units.
  • Disassembly of aircraft brake/wheel units.
  • Cleaning of aircraft brake/wheel unit/parts.
  • Removing paint from brake/wheel unit.
  • Assembly, test and inspection of aircraft brakes and wheels

Maintenance Fitter

What’s on offer for the Maintenance Fitter:

  • Pay up to £15 per hour (Depending on experience)

My Client is well established, industry leading Steelwork Fabricating company. Based near Richmond, North Yorkshire, they have seen year on year success, with further growth plans for 2022. They offer a range of services from, design, manufacturing through to installation. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

The Maintenance Fitter role will be to cover either an AM (6am-2pm) or PM (2pm-10pm) shift Monday to Friday

The maintenance Fitter’s Primary responsibility is to look after PPM’s and react in a timely manner to breakdowns.

Main Duties:

  • Organising PPM’s on Welding tables / CNC / Overhead Cranes
  • React to breakdowns
  • Site Mainteenance
  • Record all maintenance and breakdowns
  • Advise stores if parts are getting low
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and policy
  • Complete necessary daily documents

Role Requirements:

  • Must be Time Served Fitter
  • Experience with Hydraulic and pneumatics
  • Excellent communication
  • Good Engineering Background
  • Willing to learn
  • Strong PC skills
  • Ability to inspect own work
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Flexibility with regards to break down and planned maintenance
