About the Role:

Are you passionate about accurately assessing vehicle damage and negotiating repair costs? We’re seeking a Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for evaluating, pricing, and negotiating repairs for vehicles that have been damaged. You’ll also review repair estimates from shops to ensure proper techniques are used and identify any suspicious or fraudulent claims. Adherence to information security policies is a must, along with the flexibility to take on additional tasks as needed by the management team.

Your Profile:

  • Pursuing or already a member of IMI/ATA/VDA or similar accreditation.
  • Proficient in using the Audatex estimating system.
  • Familiarity with techniques and details related to motor vehicle accident repairs.
  • Prior experience in an accident repair center (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Efficient organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Eager and open to learning and professional development.

Mechanical Service Engineer

We are looking for a Workshop based Service Engineer with a good Mechanical Fitting background to work for an established North East company

You will be tasked with performing the following: repair, service and assembly of all types of pipeline products and ancillaries in line with standard operating procedures. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of relevant documentation of all the work carried out, using computerised systems. Workshop activity accounts for 90% of your work and the remaining time will be spent at customers’ locations anywhere in the UK/ overseas.

KEY SKILLS

We are seeking candidates with a craft apprentice training in Mechanical Engineering fitting, qualified to Level 3 (BTEC / ONC) or higher with several experience in a service-oriented hands-on fitting / maintenance environment. Experience of working with pipeline components, pressure equipment, valves or actuators would be a strong advantage and having some machining experience would be desirable.

A valid driver’s licence is essential and you will need to be responsive to after-hours issues when necessary, adopting a flexible approach to work.

You will also need:

  • A strong troubleshooting background, mechanical & computer aptitude, and logical way of thinking to isolate problems.
  • Develops strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Strong interpersonal and English-speaking communication skills.
  • Be flexible and available to interact with customers as required.
  • Be able to take the initiative, capable of working alone as well as contributing to a strong team-work ethic.

Electronics Repair Technician

An Electronics Repair Technician is needed to work in a busy repair workshop.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the repair & return of products are processed and achieved in line with the company policies, procedures and quality system.

Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure all returns and repairs are booked into the department in a timely manner and are stored correctly.
* Fault find and diagnose faults on suspected faulty electronic products (to component level).
* Ensure that returned products are tested, repaired and assembled as per the company quality system.
* Ensure that all company documentation and records are completed as required.
* Follow company policies, procedures, instructions and standards for repairs.
* Liaise with Customers where necessary regarding returned product.
* Report and help the relevant management concerning product quality issues.

The successful candidate will have some experience of electronics repair and be able to follow a circuit diagrams and fault find (to component level) and have good communication skills (both verbal and written). Excellent level of soldering skills is needed as is experience of electronic testing and basic computer skills.
