The Role

Major Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Account Manager on behalf of our clients based in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire.

The role is a full time permanent position based in the office in West Bridgford.

This very varied, exciting and interesting role of Account Manager. Primary responsibility is to manage, maintain and strengthen relationships within the business. Acting as the key contact for a dedicated portfolio of SME and corporate accounts. Regularly liaising with both suppliers and customers in order to provide excellent levels of customer service whilst offering bespoke solutions in line with the customer’s needs.

  • Identify new business opportunities within existing customer portfolios including upselling and cross-selling accordingly
  • Manage the P&L of your portfolio so that revenue is retained, and targets are met
  • Resolve any conflicts or issues to the best of your ability
  • Work alongside internal departments effectively
  • Create and maintain a healthy pipeline of potential new, cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
  • Assist with the Credit Control and Finance teams to ensure that payment terms are adhered to and reduce debtor days
  • Continually review the service offering to ensure that customer requirements/expectations are met, facilitating service changes where necessary
  • Ensuring all contracts and relevant paperwork is updated as required and compliance is maintained
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of company service offering and the industry, as well as being responsive to changes within the sectors/markets of customers in your portfolio
  • Ensuring Data entry is detailed and accurate

Full time working hours. Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm

Role is to start urgently.

Your Profile

In order to be considered for this position, you must have at least 2 years previous (recent) experience within customer services, account management or sales (tele). You will have an excellent telephone manner, who a great adaptability, and fantastic work ethic.

You will be able to work on your own initiative and take direction from the managers/ directors when in the office.

You will need to be immediately available and be able to start within 1 week (max). and be able to commute to the West Bridgford office daily.

The Salary

£22,000 – £26,000 per annum (depending on experience)

PLUS bonus/ commission
