Role: Accounts Senior

An exciting opportunity is available for an Accounts Senior to join a supportive and growing accountancy team. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of SME clients, build strong client relationships and take ownership of a broad range of accounts and tax work while continuing to develop your technical and commercial skills.
The Role
- Manage a portfolio of existing and new SME clients
- Maintain regular client contact and deliver a proactive service
- Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Prepare management accounts
- Draft personal and corporation tax computations
- Assist the departmental manager and partner with ad hoc client tasks
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax and personal tax
- Communicate with clients and HMRC, both verbally and in writing
- Liaise with colleagues to provide a coordinated service to clients
About You
- Newly or recently qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within an accounting practice
- Competent in the preparation of sole trader and FRS102 Limited Company accounts
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Able to manage your own workload and work on your own initiative to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge of new software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A clear commitment to delivering first-class service to clients and colleagues
- Commercially minded, organised and adaptable
- A strong team player who can build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
