Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a national organisation, with their head office located in Oldbury, who are seeking an Assistant Payroll Administrator to start immediately.

Please note this role is office based in Oldbury and IS NOT a remote working or hybrid role

Duties and tasks will include:

  • Collating relevant payroll information such as attendance record sheet, sickness forms, personal data changes. bank details, starters, leavers, and changes forms.
  • Assistant with Monthly Payroll duties given by the Payroll Manager.
  • Knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments, for example, SMP/SAP, SPP and SSP.
  • Calculate Joiners and Leavers,
  • Collate and calculate monthly Overtime.
  • Assistant with all month-end and year-end payroll duties such as P60’s and P11d’s and to assist the finance team with any issues relating to these payroll processes and associated audits.
  • Dealing HMRC, P6 and P9 Tax Codes changes.
  • Deduction for Council Tax, Direct Earnings Orders.
  • Good IT skills, basic level of Excel is essential.

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have a good eye for detail, with accuracy key to the role. They will have good knowledge of excel and payroll / government legislation. Most importantly they will have a thirst for knowledge and a drive to learn and develop in the role.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (these are non negotiable), parking is available.
