Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Baker to prepare high-quality baked goods. The ideal candidate has a passion for baking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistent quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of products such as breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Operate baking equipment (ovens, mixers, proofers) safely and efficiently
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent results
- Decorate and present baked goods to a high standard
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
- Work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina (standing for long periods, lifting ingredients)
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Working Conditions
- Early morning or overnight shifts may be required
- Fast-paced kitchen or bakery environment
- Standing for extended periods
