Position – Deputy Manager (Children’s home)

Location – Ilford, Greater London

Salary – £25,000 per annum

Hours – 40 hours per week (shifts will be 12 hours to include sleep ins, bank holidays and weekends)

About the Service – This service is an OFSTED registered children’s home that provides support to young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties and sometimes challenging behaviour. The service is able to accommodate up to five service users. The aim of the service is to aid the service users in reaching their goals and ensuring they lead a fulfilling life as they move towards adulthood.

Duties- The role will involve supervising support workers within the team and making sure the service users receive top quality care. You will also be required to ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations alongside the Service Manager.

Type of person required – They are looking for someone dedicated to providing the best service possible to the young people and children in the service. You must be able to inspire the team of support workers and keep them motivated each day. On top of this, you must be able to evidence strong leadership skills.

Experience/ qualifications – The ideal candidate will have experience of supervising a team of support workers within a registered children’s home. You will also have an NVQ Level 3 in a social care subject.
