Electrical Shift Engineer
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer working 38 hours per week on average to support operations within a large, well-established manufacturing site. The role focuses on maintaining equipment reliability, improving maintenance efficiency, and supporting safe, continuous production.
The Role:
- Provide electrical maintenance support across the site to minimise downtime.
- Improve maintenance and operational efficiency through preventative and planned maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Execute planned maintenance schedules to support equipment reliability and compliance.
- Respond to breakdowns and unplanned stoppages, ensuring repairs are completed right first time.
- Utilise the CMMS system fully, ensuring accurate work reporting and shift handovers.
- Support and develop team members through coaching and on-the-job guidance.
- Promote and maintain safe working practices at all times.
About You:
- Minimum HNC in an Electrical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Completed a recognised four-year electrical apprenticeship (essential).
- Strong experience with PLCs, HV/LV systems, fault finding, electrical machine maintenance, and isolation procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills, using data where possible.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability.
