Major Recruitment is currently recruiting for Furniture Frame Assemblers to join a high-end manufacturing environment in the Alfreton area.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in furniture manufacturing, frame assembly, joinery, woodworking or similar hands-on production environments.
You will be working as part of a busy production team, assembling high-quality frames for sofas, chairs and stools using a range of hand tools and equipment.
The Role
As a Furniture Frame Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling furniture frames accurately and efficiently to the required quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling frames for sofas, chairs and stools.
- Using a variety of hand tools and production equipment.
- Following drawings, specifications and assembly instructions.
- Measuring and positioning components accurately.
- Ensuring frames are assembled correctly and securely.
- Checking your own work to ensure it meets the required quality standards.
- Working to production targets and deadlines.
- Maintaining a strong balance between speed, accuracy and quality.
- Identifying and reporting any defects or issues with materials or components.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area.
- Working as part of a fast-paced production team.
- Following all health and safety and production procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in frame assembly, furniture manufacturing, woodworking, joinery or a similar hands-on role.
- Experience using hand tools confidently and safely.
- Good practical and mechanical skills.
- The ability to read and follow instructions, drawings or specifications.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to work quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- A strong work ethic and reliable approach.
- The ability to work towards production targets.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous furniture frame assembly experience is advantageous, but candidates with strong practical skills and relevant hands-on manufacturing experience may also be considered.
Fast-Paced Production Environment
This is a high-output manufacturing environment, so productivity is important.
You will be expected to work at pace while ensuring every frame is assembled correctly and meets the required quality standards.
Speed matters, but quality cannot be compromised.
