Job Title : Head of Sales

Location : Sutton in Ashfield

Reports To : Commercial Director

Major Recruitment is working in Partnership with an incredible Commercial vehicle and portable cold storage rental company. They have a number of permanent opportunities Nationally and are actively seeking experienced individuals who are looking for a new challenge.

Purpose of Job

To create, drive and sustain a sales focus in the business. Assess and improve the sales structure of the company to maximise on the company’s commercial opportunities. Write and present Annual 3 Year Sales Strategy Report.

Key Features

Attend Heads of Sales Group meetings 3 times per annum

Negotiate and agree the organisations annual budget

Continuously assess sales channels

Establish, develop and alter sales channels, and resourcing of, to maximise on the market opportunities

As a member of the Management Team, the role involves:

Strategic input

Decision making

Responsibility for achieving company sales Budgets

Authorised signatory for the company

Signing for new business and payouts etc.

Offering and disseminating considerable asset finance and sales knowledge throughout the company

Contribution or leadership of all monthly staff meetings

Oversight and reporting on Sales Information Database (SID) activity

Training and organising training for both Company and Group colleagues

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Full, valid UK driving licence

Sales management experience

Sales Team management experience:

Daily responsibility for management and motivation of Sales Team

Sets annual staff commission structures

Manage expense claims

Authorise commission payments

Manages sales staff weekly itineraries

Authorise staff holidays ensuring cover for both office and field work

Monitoring individual performance versus individual targets

Staff reviews; quarterly and annual appraisals

Sales meetings management, monthly/quarterly at discretion
