Location: Leeds, LS9 0DN
Pay Rate: £14.17 per hour, 40 hours a week with potential for overtime.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00-22:00
Job Description:
Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a rewarding opportunity in Leeds? Symingtons, in partnership with Major Recruitment, is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as an HGV Class 1 Driver. As a driver for our organization, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of raw materials and finished goods across Yorkshire.
Responsibilities:
– Trunk finished goods, raw materials, and packaging between various sites in the Yorkshire area using curtain-sided HGV vehicles (up to 40 Couple/uncouple activities per shift).
– Transfer all finished goods to the RDC at Cross Green.
– Remove out-of-date stock to designated off-site facilities.
– Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
– Maintain mobile contact between depots to update on actual versus planned runs.
– Prioritize the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others at all times.
– Actively participate in continuous self-development activities and Company-provided training opportunities.
– Represent the Company in a professional manner both internally and externally.
– Respond to ad hoc requests and engage in specific projects directed by your line manager.
– Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Company.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21
* Driving Licence, Cat C+E
* Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
* Acceptance of up to 3 points on the license (e.g., speeding/parking tickets, nothing major).
* Valid drivers check code and all necessary licenses (CPC/Tacho).
