Major Recruitment are looking for a Hotel Manager on a permanent basis to work for an independent Georgian hotel

Due to the growth of the hotel, our client is looking for someone to join the team and implement their fresh ideas to help grow and develop the team and running of the business, you will be someone who is confident in taking the reins, leading and training staff members and have excellent planning skills to ensure smooth running of the hotel

Job Duties

  • Overseeing the Hotel departments and House keeping
  • Liaising with the kitchen
  • Running events and bookings
  • Staff rotas, timesheets for agency staff
  • Budgeting costs
  • staff meetings, training and development
  • General Hotel running
  • Reporting to general hotel management
  • Building maintenance checks
  • Stock take and order
  • Undertake general administrative duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and to ensure the smooth running of the Hotel Operations

Job Requirements

  • Open minded and confident in running the hotel
  • Able to coach, manage and train staff members
  • Ensuring the best accommodation experience of all guests
  • Develop and maintain professional relationship with Service Users/Guest
  • Making sure rooms and communal areas are cleaned thoroughly and consistently
  • Ensuring food is prepared and presented to brand standard
  • Maximising food and beverage sales by cross and upselling
  • Reviewing customer feedback to produce targeted action plans
  • Working with team members to create personal development plans
  • Reporting and overseeing any repairs or maintenance needed
  • Additional responsibilities include rota management, banking and health and safety
  • Able to commit to ‘On Call’ if required for any emergencies

The ideal candidate for this role will have preferable been a general manager or equivalent in the hotel environment, experience of food and beverage operation isn’t essential but would be advantageous for this role

Working Hours / Salary

  • Tuesday to Sunday Morning
  • Hotel is closed (Sunday night – Monday)
  • Build your OWN rota
  • From £40k-£45k per annum
