This is an exciting opportunity for the successful Industrial Sewing Machinist to work with a long-established supplier on the outskirts of Doncaster, due to the company experiencing a period of organic growth they are looking to add to the existing team where duties will include:
- Operating industrial sewing machines (juki machine)
- Operating machine with a walking feeder
- Working with vinyl’s and heavy materials
- Working at pace with accuracy
It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience of working in an Industrial Sewing Machinist role or similar and:
- Have previous experience of operating an industrial sewing machine
- Understanding of the materials used and the process involved in sewing vinyl and heavy materials
- Have experience of operating a walking feeder
- Safe use of hand tools both manual & battery operated.
- Attention to detail and identifying defects.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to clean, organise and keep tidy workspaces.
- Correct use of PPE
- Physically able to maintain manual handling procedures (training will be given in manual handling).
