Working on behalf of an FMCG client based in Andover, BPSS are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer.
You will be joining a well-established 4th generation family owned business, that manufactures a great high quality product.
Working closely with your Line Manager – Chief Site Engineer, you will be attending to machinery breakdowns, fault finding, PPM’s, kit inspections, general maintenance, CI projects and many more.
There are several different PLC’s on site and the 2 lines are 90% automated, so electrical hands-on skills as well as qualifications are crucial in this role.
Apart from engineering duties (especially during your induction process), you will be also required to operate machines on some occasions, as that is the best way to learn them.
Please note: the client is running a small business and within the small business people naturally are covering more duties, therefore you need to be flexible in terms of what you actually do.
You will be working as a part of very close on site team, where everyone needs to chip in and help each other. Positive attitude and willingness to help people, go beyond your “job title” duties will be very important in this role.
The role has come about due to succession planning and you will be given plenty of training and development opportunities as the plan is for this function is to grow and develop into the Site Chief Engineer.
Requirements:
– C&G level qualifications in engineering
– Multi-skilled – electrical and mechanical
– 18th Edition
– Experience of working in fast paced environment (ideally food / drinks)
– Flexibility towards working
– Helpful team player
– Willingness and hunger to develop, learn and progress
