About the Nursery
CareEd Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a brand-new, purpose-built nursery located on Lancaster Road in Enfield. The nursery provides high-quality care and early years education for children aged 3 months to 5 years in a safe, inspiring, and nurturing environment.
The nursery has been thoughtfully designed with children’s wellbeing, independence, and development in mind. The setting includes dedicated rooms for each age group, light and open learning spaces, carefully selected resources, and a large, secure outdoor play area where children can explore, play, and develop confidence.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead the nursery team and oversee the day-to-day running of the setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early years professional with strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of the EYFS, and experience with Ofsted standards, safeguarding, compliance, and nursery operations.
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the nursery delivers high standards of childcare, education, safety, and staff performance. You will lead and support the team, build positive relationships with families, and help create the best possible outcomes for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily running and overall operation of the nursery
- Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team
- Ensure high standards of childcare, learning, and development across the setting
- Maintain full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare for and support Ofsted inspections
- Promote a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and staff
- Oversee staff supervision, training, performance, and development
- Ensure staffing levels, ratios, routines, and resources are managed effectively
- Support continuous improvement across the nursery
- Promote the nursery’s values of kindness, care, learning through play, safety, and parent partnership
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
- Proven experience working within an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Experience with Ofsted inspections, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding, child protection, compliance, and health and safety
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to inspire, support, and develop a nursery team
- Passion for delivering high-quality childcare and early education
- Relevant early years qualification preferred
