Procurement Officer / Buyer

Working on bahalf of our client, BPSS are looking for a Procurement Officer / Buyer.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all purchasing on site
- Planning for buying equipment, services, and supplies
- Following and enforcing procurement policies and procedures
- Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and approving products and services to be purchased
- Process PO’s and update SLT on status of orders
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
- Maintaining and updating supplier information
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
- Researching and evaluating new suppliers
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
- Drafting Invitations to Tender and managing tendering process
- Work closely with stock controller and planner on site to monitor stock levels
- Lead on various cost containment projects, collaborate with other departments to determine needs
Key Attributes, Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and negotiation skills
- Experience of operating in a similar role essential
- Excellent communication and IT skills
