Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Production Operatives for our client based in Burntwood – a well-established manufacturer and stockholder of cold-drawn stainless steel & nickel alloy bars. With over 200 years combined technical experience you will be joining the experts within the industry. Successful applicants MUST have experience within a steel stockholder/manufacturer.
This is a 12 week temporary to permanent assignment and a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, develop and progress within a growing company in a specialist market. Due to the location and shift times you MUST have your own transport
Daily Duties & Responsibilities:-
- Reading Micrometre / Vernier
- Completing documentation
- Complete general housekeeping
- Keeping material identified
- Updating team leader with progress
- Excellent time management skills are required
Licenses, experience and qualifications required:-
- Overhead Crane essential
- Forklift / Counterbalance / Combi preferred
- First Aid / Fire Marshall certificate or experience advantageous
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety procedures required
- Experience within a steel stockholder/manufacturer is essential
- Ability to work in accordance with our ISO9001 Quality system and current standard operating procedures.
Working hours & salary:-
Mon to Thurs:- 7am till 4.30pm
Friday:- 7am till 1pm
£11 per hour
Overtime will be available and paid at time 1/2
