Quality Control Technician
Our client, a market leader in the supply of top quality beef products have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join their technical team. The role of the Quality Control Technician will be based on the factory floor working in either the Abattoir or the Boning Hall departments.
The role has great progression routes through the quality department for the right candidate.
The hours of work are rotating:
Monday to Friday, 7am – 4.00pm and Monday to Friday, 8am – 5.00pm
42.5 WORKING HOURS PER WEEK.
Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician will include:
- Visual carcass inspections and necessary trimming to agreed procedures and schedules
- Checking for contamination and advise department supervisors/QA of any issues.
- Raise internal non-conformances when necessary and inform all relevant personnel
- Complete daily inspection records
- Adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production
Skills & personal qualities of the Quality Control Technician will include:
- Understand the importance of health, safety, and hygiene.
- Previous work experience in the meat industry is desirable.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be methodical and pay attention to detail.
- Be able to build good working relationships with people.
