The Role:
To deliver the highest standards of support to clients, meeting the personal care needs of all service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and supports them to remain as self-managing as possible in line with their person-centred plan of care.

  • Assist with activities of daily living, personal care and any domestic duties.
  • Ensure health, safety and welfare of clients.
  • Record keeping – maintaining up to date reports such as support plans.
  • Maintain regular communication, both written and verbal with the other staff and the Service Manager
  • Respect the individuality and confidentiality of all clients.
  • To communicate effectively
  • Administration of medications
  • Supervising junior staff.

Essential personal attributes.

  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • NVQ 3 in HSC and a current Safe Handling of Medication qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months previous UK experience working within a healthcare environment, preferably within a nursing/care/support service.
  • Ability to be patient & keep calm when under pressure.
  • A sense of responsibility
  • Friendly, adaptable & a willing disposition in new environments.
  • Reliable & trustworthy
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
