The Managed Services Roadshow officially hit the road, and landed at it’s first stop. Paul and Sam braved a classic cold and soggy Tuesday morning in the North West, but the Major team’s warm welcome (and cakes) made up for the lack of sunshine. Their onsite team all work out of one office, and they have everything they need to keep the whole site running like clockwork – themselves and a kettle! We had a lot of fun on the day and got them all involved in our social media madness! Whilst we were there we thought we could get to know their roles inside out and pass that on, or we could ask them silly questions and really get to know them – you already know the answer don’t you!

Say hello to Beata
Beata is the onsite Account Manager and head honcho – she’s a complete powerhouse!
She was the perfect choice for the first visit as she managed to keep the site running smoothly whilst keeping Paul and Sam in line. So, we all know she’s bossing things at work, but let’s get to know Beata a little better shall we?
- What’s your go-to karaoke song? I Will Survive – Gloria Gaynor (makes sense in recruitment)
- If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be? The ability to make anyone laugh (you made us laugh trying to do the box TikTok, so maybe you have it already?)
- Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses? 100 duck-sized horses – I would turn into zoo halfway through! (How would she turn INTO A ZOO?)
- If you could swap lives with a fictional character for a day, who would it be? Willy Wonka – unlimited chocolate and chaos sounds like normal day at work for me (Good job you don’t work at a chocolate factory then, or that could be a massive problem!)
- If you were a type of weather, what would you be? A bright sunny day with unexpected bursts of rain – cheerful with a little drama (spot on I’d say)
- What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever Googled? I rather no say (no comment!)
- What’s your favourite made-up word? Nandinios….long story (????)
- If you were a flavour of ice cream, what would you be called? Bubbly Berry Surprise (Hey, can we change Beata’s email to bubblyberrysurprise@major?)
- What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received? Recently, I received applause from a client I work with. It made me cry a little (👏👏👏👏)
- If you could only listen to one song for the next year, what would it be? Riptide by Vance Joy (ah-oooooooooooh)
Meet Angelika
The silent superhero! She may be quiet, but her work speaks volumes! As the admin wizard behind the scenes, she keeps everything running smoothly with precision and professionalism.
If there’s a spreadsheet to master or a task to organise, Angelika’s already on it – no fuss, no drama, just pure efficiency! However, I also get the feeling when Angelika is out with friends, she’s got the crazy in her!
- If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future? I’d go to the past (see what I mean, straight to the point…..but why Angelika…..secrets!)
- Do you believe pineapple belongs on pizza? Absolutely, it’s a great combo with the salty goodness of ham! (I’m with you Ange, I don’t care what people say!)
- What’s your go-to dance move at a party? I like to keep it simple with some smooth side-to-side stepping (absolute classic!)
- 4.If you had to rename yourself, what name would you pick? I think something unique like “Angel ” would be cool. It has a nice vibe! (that’s just taking IKA off your name, you wanna be called Angel from now on……….done!)
- What’s your most-used emoji? Probably the smiling face 😊 (very fitting Angel!)
- Would you rather have spaghetti for hair or marshmallows for hands? Spaghetti for hair, I could always style it differently, and I’m not sure marshmallow hands would be practical! (I don’t think either would be practical, but I think you’re right – and sticky hands would be a nightmare!)
- If you could have a house made out of any material, what would it be? I’d choose a glass house to have lots of natural light and panoramic views (DO NOT PLAY WITH STONES!)
- If you could invent a holiday, what would it be called and how would people celebrate? It would be called “Gratitude Day,” where everyone does something kind for someone else and shares their thanks with others. It would be a global celebration of appreciation (You’re the best Angel!!)
- If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be? Curious, friendly, adaptable (We’ve known you for one day, and we totally agree!)
- What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t yet? Skydiving! The thrill of it has always intrigued me (Let’s get it arranged, tell Beata you’re doing it for Maggie’s!)
Wow! It’s Piotr Czech!
We know what you’re thinking “Wow, that football money must have run out pretty quickly for him to be working in recruitment!” Well you’re not the only one, thing is it’s not the ex-Chelsea goalkeeper – it’s another one!
Piotr is actually an Account Coordinator from another site, but just before the Transfer Window closed he joined this one on a temporary loan deal, so we thought why not introduce him whilst we’re here. We think he did it on purpose to be at two Roadshow stops!
- If you could have any animal as a pet (real or mythical), what would you choose?
Currently I have 2 cats , but would love to have a lizard one day (you could have had a unicorn and you go lizard?!) - What’s a word you always struggle to spell? Inconvenience (that’s what spell check is for!)
- Would you rather always speak in rhyme or sing everything you say? Rhyme (yeah singing could get problematic)
- If your life had a theme song, what would it be? Born with a silver spoon (hmmmm)
- Would you rather be able to talk to plants or control the weather? Control the weather for sure (It would have helped on our visit!)
- If you were a ghost, how would you haunt people? No, but I would just follow them (why does that feel more creepy!)
- If you had an unlimited budget to pull off one prank, what would it be? Paint someone’s house inside and outside in Black (again Piotr, you’re not letting your imagination go here, you have an unlimited budget!)
- What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Never judge the book from its cover and stay always humble (Perfect!)
- Are you more of a planner or a go-with-the-flow person? A Planner (probably for the best being the account coordinator)
- If you could only keep three apps on your phone, which ones would you choose? WhatsApp, Bank app, YouTube (Covering all bases there, nice!)
All in all, as you can see these three are perfect examples of the Major Family – 100% efficient and a little bit crazy too. It was a fantastic day and absolute pleasure to get to know these three people better.
Every single one of our onsite offices are probably nervous right now, thinking “Where’s this Roadshow going next? Are they coming to us!?” Whether that’s through excitement or fear, it doesn’t matter, we’re still coming!
The Roadshow will be on the road again next week, this time we’ll be off into the Midlands. Keep your eyes on social next week for where we land.
