Waste Transfer Station Labourers Required

Major Recruitment are hiring on behalf of our client for reliable and hardworking Labourers to join a busy Waste Transfer Station team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established waste management and recycling operation that delivers sustainable solutions to the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the sorting, processing, and handling of various waste materials.

• Operate basic machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the transfer station, ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met.

• Load and unload waste materials from vehicles.

• Carry out visual inspections of waste materials to ensure compliance with site regulations.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

• Follow all company procedures and site protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Basic understanding of health and safety practices (experience within waste management is advantageous).

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling, including lifting and carrying heavy items.

• Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
