The Opportunity
A well-established, growing manufacturing and distribution business is looking to appoint a commercially focused Management Accountant to support decision-making across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of management reporting, financial planning, and cost analysis, working closely with senior stakeholders to provide meaningful insight and challenge.
This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the numbers but equally comfortable stepping into the business to influence and improve performance.
The Role
- Full ownership of monthly management accounts, including detailed commentary and variance analysis
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including regular re-forecasting
- Provide clear financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Analyse costs, margins and pricing to drive improved business performance
- Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital
- Support and strengthen internal controls and financial processes
- Work closely with non-finance stakeholders to challenge and support decision-making
- Identify areas for continuous improvement across reporting and processes
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role with ownership of month-end reporting
- Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Commercially minded, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
- Experience within an operational, manufacturing, distribution or similar environment would be highly beneficial
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems
- Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience, with clear evidence of progression and impact
- Proactive, detail-oriented and confident working in a fast-paced environment
