Marine Onshore/Offshore HSE Advisor (Contract)
Lowestoft, Suffolk
We are currently supporting a leading main contractor on a major marine infrastructure project and are looking to engage an experienced Onshore/Offshore HSE Advisor on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project with a strong pipeline of work, offering both onshore and offshore exposure.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across a complex marine scope of works. This includes both port-based activities and occasional offshore visits.
Project Scope
- Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)
- Dredging operations
- Rock infill works
- Outfall head installation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HSE support and guidance to site and offshore teams
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and company policies
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Lead incident investigations and reporting
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project phases
- Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and offshore personnel
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar HSE role within marine, civils, or offshore environments
- Valid offshore certification/tickets (essential)
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE regulations and best practices
- Ability to work across both onshore and offshore settings
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
