Title – Goods In/Out Operative
Salary – £13.50ph
Location – Doncaster
Role – Temporary Initially
Working Hours – 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful Goods In/Out Operative to work with a long-established supplier on the outskirts of Doncaster, due to the company experiencing a period of seasonal growth they are looking to add to the existing team where duties will include:
It is expected that the successful Goods In/Out Operative will have experience of working in a similar role, working in a goods in/out area or similar environment or physical position, have a strong understanding of a busy despatch area, be confident in managing multiple priorities whilst working with accuracy and with own initiative.
- To manage and coordinate the receiving, handling, storing, and distribution of products.
- Monitor stock levels and escalate inventory concerns to Supervisors/managers when necessary.
- To Check PO’s when deliveries are received ensuring information accurate – ensure PO details passed to admin for processing.
- To keep work area clean and tidy and adopt a clean as you go policy.
- Shrink wrap products/pallets.
- To move pallets with use of pallet truck
- To ensure orders are packed correctly and in accordance with despatch paperwork.
- Take goods to the appropriate storage space and monitor space/layout of products.
- Accountable for replenishing materials.
- Conduct daily reviews of customers’ orders.
- Unload goods from deliveries with forklift truck
- Put deliveries away in correct location.
- Manage goods out paperwork, sign to confirm pack checked and ensure delivery paperwork is prepared for.
- Distribute individual collections when customers come ensuring excellent customer service levels.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts.
- Prepare pre-prepared kit and box kits per specification.
- To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
- To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
- To manage and ensure all returned goods are re-boxed to required company standards.
- To perform any reasonable request from Managers/supervisor/Directors
- To work flexibly across other areas of the business on different tasks when the business requires
- Comply with company policy in relation to Health and Safety, security and confidentiality
