Building Safety Manager

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Safety Manager to lead building and fire safety across a portfolio of residential properties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead building and fire safety compliance across relevant residential buildings
- Manage fire risk assessments and ensure remedial actions are completed and evidenced
- Oversee fire door inspection, repair and replacement programmes
- Maintain building safety information, Building Safety Case Reports and the golden thread
- Manage specialist contractors and consultants, including performance and quality
- Monitor compliance, overdue actions and emerging risks
- Support audits, regulatory engagement and incident investigations
- Work with residents, Fire & Rescue Services and internal teams to address safety concerns
Essential Requirements:
- Strong building and fire safety experience within social housing, residential or another regulated environment
- Experience managing fire risk assessments, remedial programmes and fire door works
- Good knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act and Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
- Experience managing specialist contractors and challenging poor performance
- Strong compliance, audit and action-tracking experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant fire/building safety, construction, surveying, engineering or health & safety qualification
- Recognised fire safety qualification such as Diploma in Fire Safety / Fire Safety Management or equivalent
- NEBOSH or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
