This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional with a genuine passion for premium beverages, exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences. Working across the property’s bar and restaurant operations, you will play an important role in maintaining high service standards while supporting and developing the wider team.
The Role
As Bartender, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the property’s bar and restaurant, ensuring guests receive a consistently outstanding level of service.
You will have a strong knowledge and enthusiasm for beverages, with the opportunity to contribute to drinks menus, staff development and the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operation of the bar and restaurant, helping to maintain consistently high standards of service.
- Take responsibility for opening and closing duties in accordance with company procedures.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to guest enquiries, requests and preferences.
- Provide knowledgeable and personalised recommendations across the beverage offering.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues wherever possible and escalating matters to senior management when appropriate.
- Ensure all cash handling, till procedures, floats and guest charges are managed accurately and in line with established processes.
- Deliver beverage training and provide ongoing coaching and support to service team members.
- Assist with the organisation and management of the cellar, ensuring stock is stored and maintained appropriately.
- Support beverage ordering, stock control and inventory management.
- Contribute to the creation and development of whisky, wine, cocktail and wider beverage menus.
- Help maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the bar and service areas.
- Work closely with colleagues and management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities reasonably requested by the management team.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a similar supervisory or senior service position within a luxury hotel, high-end restaurant, resort or premium hospitality environment.
You will be confident dealing with guests, knowledgeable about beverages and passionate about delivering exceptional service standards.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality, ideally in a high-end hotel, restaurant or resort.
- Personal Licence Holder – essential.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
- Immaculate personal presentation and a professional approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident, friendly and engaging personality with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues at all levels.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- A courteous, approachable and professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking responsibility for your own area of operation.
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certified Mixologist qualification would be advantageous.
- WSET Level 2 or equivalent wine qualification would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of whisky, wine, cocktails and premium beverages.
