Salary: £37,440 – £45,760 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30- 17.00

About the Role
Due to continued expansion, our client is looking for a highly motivated Crane Engineer to join their growing, family-run business.
Primarily workshop-based, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing the company’s crane fleet, as well as leading the rigging and derigging of cranes at locations across the UK.
The ideal candidate will have previous crane or heavy plant experience and be confident diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair cranes and plant within the workshop and yard.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
- Lead the rigging and derigging of hydraulic lattice and telescopic cranes across the UK.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and servicing across the crane and plant fleet.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records for all assets.
- Provide technical advice to minimise equipment downtime.
- Source and order parts and materials as required.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety at all times.
- Support the wider workshop team to ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Travel and work away from home when required, including occasional extended hours and weekend work.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic machinery.
- Experience with the assembly and disassembly of plant, machinery or equipment.
- The ability to diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ideally, experience working with mobile, crawler or mobile tower cranes.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated approach.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
- A willingness to learn and develop through in-house and manufacturer training.
