This year has been a crazy one for everyone, to say the very least! Each of us has chosen our own way of dealing with the rollercoaster that has been 2020. Major’s plan was to keep doing what we always do: keep our heads’ down, and work hard through adversity. We are very happy to say, the hard work has paid off! Our company’s rapid growth over the last 5 years has seen us make Insider magazine’s Growth 100 list.
What is the GROWTH 100 list?
Well, the list itself is created annually and has been done so for the last 20 years by Insider magazine. They monitor all companies with at least a million in turnover and measure their growth over a 5-year period. Only organisations with consistent year-on-year growth make the list, this then allows them to create a league table of the fastest-growing companies in the area.
It is an opportunity to highlight the companies that are achieving rapid expansion and consistent success. This is why we’re very proud of our achievement! Our hard work over the last 5 years (plus) is finally making the news and we are over the moon!
Major Recruitment is of course a national company; however, our Head Office is in Yorkshire and so we have been added to the Yorkshire list. We may not be at the top (yet), but with a growth of 21% over the last 5 years, we’re only just starting to prove just what we can achieve.
Landing a position on this list is really, quite hard for well-established businesses. A lot of the positions are taken by up-and-coming SME companies, as it is easier for them to beat their turnover in the first 5 years.
As a recruitment company with 28 years behind us, to be able to show a large and sustained growth is the reason we are so proud. We were recognised for increasing our turnover from 13.8 million in 2015, to a massive 29,060,333 in 2019!
Lockdown Celebrations
Unfortunately, we can’t celebrate it too much thanks to COVID guidelines! However, this blog is our opportunity to let everyone know about our entry, and maybe a chance to show off a little. Above all, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank all our employees; past and present, for their outstanding efforts. We have amazing people here – that is our secret!
We also want to highlight the amazing clients and candidates that we have had the pleasure to work with, they have helped us get to where we are today and we will continue to help them achieve success.
