Parts Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and organised Parts Assistant to join a well-established and prestigious automotive retailer based in the Doncaster area. Due to continued business growth, the company is expanding its existing team and is looking for a motivated individual to support the efficient operation of the parts department.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the correct parts, materials and consumables are available to support workshop operations and customer requirements. You will be responsible for accurately identifying, ordering, receiving and managing vehicle parts, while maintaining excellent stock control and administrative standards.

Working closely with technicians, inspection teams and internal departments, you will assist with analysing vehicle requirements, sourcing parts, preparing estimates and ensuring all parts processes are completed accurately and efficiently. You will also support stock management, warranty returns, invoice processing and quality checks to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy automotive environment. Previous experience within an automotive parts, dealership, workshop or similar setting would be highly beneficial.

  • Diagnose faults accurately using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Complete work to Stellantis manufacturer standards and guidelines
  • Ensure all job cards and documentation are completed accurately and promptly
  • Work collaboratively with service advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional workshop environment
  • Keep up to date with technical training and manufacturer updates

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician (main dealer or independent background considered)
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence required

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a long established family run business, for a Leisure Vehicle Workshop Technician to join their busy and growing team within the leisure vehicle industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with mechanical skills to work on caravans, motorhomes, and camper vans, ensuring they are fully prepared and maintained to the highest standards.

Workshop Technician Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used caravans, motorhomes, and camper vans
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs and maintenance to a high standard
  • Ensure all work meets company quality expectations and specific customer requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workshop environment
  • Attend industry trade launches, exhibitions, and training days as required
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times

Workshop Technician Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a workshop, mechanical, or vehicle maintenance role
  • Experience working on caravans, motorhomes, or similar vehicles (desirable)

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
