Major Recruitment are looking for Car Delivery and Collection/Trade Plate Drivers on a Self Employed basis for our client based in Leicester

These positions are on a self-employed basis, representing one of the UK’s premier vehicle delivery companies, where you will be transporting vehicles between dealership locations and directly to customers nationwide.

Training Information:

Your journey with us begins from the comfort of your home after two days of hands-on training in Leicester.

  1. Day 1 – video call Induction
  2. Day 2 – onsite training and driving assessment.
  3. Day 3- You will agree on a date for the start training days, during which you will then be paid £80 per day.

About You:

  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for driving and customer service
  • Minimum of 3 years holding a Full UK Driving License.
  • Capable of working autonomously while also adhering to instructions when necessary.
  • Possess basic computer literacy and have a compatible mobile for relevant apps and maps.

  • Understand that this role operates beyond standard hours and necessitates early starts to meet delivery commitments.
  • Ability to drive all types of vehicles, automatic, manual, electric and 3.5T Vans
  • 2-4 vehicle drops a day around Leeds to Northwest London.

Hours and Salary

  • 8:30am – Finish
  • Plan your own journey – a job plan will be sent to you
  • Monday to Friday
  • £90 – £120 per day (£450 per week)
  • You will be paid 3 weeks in arrear, so week 1 paid in week 4, week 2 paid in week 5

Requirements:

  • Ensure access to off-road parking (Driveway) or a designated parking bay; on-road parking is not permitted – Photos of the parking space will be required as part of the onboarding process and will be verified using google maps.
  • Maintain no more than six points/endorsements for minor offenses
  • Previous professional or commercial driving experience for insurance purposes
  • Ability to work Self Employed
  • Must be 25+ for Insurance purposes
  • Driving Licence address but be correct residing location.
  • Requirement for all applicants to either possess a DBS dated within the last 2 years or be willing to undergo a DBS check which costs £18 and will, be reimbursed by the company ONLY IF SUCCESSFUL and start driving

My client is looking for an experienced Administrator to join their Weighbridge team. This involves ensuring that all vehicles carrying waste or recyclables are weighed as they both enter & exit the facility and accurately recording this information. This is a systems-based role and we are looking for someone who is experienced in using Microsoft Excel.

    • You will be working 4 days per week which will include either 3 or 4 days during the week AND every other Saturday
    • 7am – 5pm – 9.5 hours per day
    • You will be required to work across our 2 sites – Lynnbottom Household Waste Recycling Centre and the Isle of wight Waste Recovery Park – both located in Newport (PO30)

    Salary for the role – £25,000 – £26,000

Role Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the operation of the weighbridge and accompanying general administrative duties including recording weights & waste type by vehicle, whilst ensuring completion of the appropriate documentation in line with Environmental Regulations, as and when required
  • Efficiently input data onto the weighbridge from vehicles collecting/delivering to the site
  • To respond to public, trade and other queries directly and by telephone in a pleasant and efficient manner – dealing courteously with complaints and enquiries
  • Maintain the best operational relationship between the public, other customers and client representatives, ensuring Waste Acceptance Criteria is adhered to at all times
  • Ensure acceptance of waste complies with Duty of Care and Special Waste Regulations where appropriate
  • To undertake routine computer and weighbridge alterations or adjustments where possible

  • Basic numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (essential)
  • Understanding risk assessments / safe systems of work and working in accordance with them.

Job Description:
As an Injection Moulding Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining injection moulding machines to produce high-precision plastic parts for the automotive industry. You will ensure the efficient and safe operation of moulding equipment, troubleshoot issues, and optimize production processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Daily Mould Setting: Set moulds on a daily and shift basis, ensuring that machines are configured to meet the agreed standards and production schedules.
  • Cycle Time and Quality Assurance: Ensure that products are manufactured to specified cycle times and quality standards. Confirm that items are correctly packaged, labelled, and meet planning requirements.
  • Machine and Process Setting: Set up machines and processes, including trialling new tools in collaboration with the Project Manager and Technical Department, to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Compliance Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with QS9000 and ISO9002 standards, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that products meet the correct quality standards, are packaged and labelled appropriately, and are stored correctly to maintain integrity.
  • Material Handling Coordination: Ensure the material handler provides materials to machines promptly and according to specified requirements, including drying, cleanliness, and proper regrind management.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure all documentation is correctly completed and distributed, complying with ISO9002 and QS9000 requirements.
  • Maintenance Liaison: Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure that equipment remains in optimal working order and adheres to maintenance schedules.
  • Factory Operations Management: Oversee the start-up and shutdown of factory operations, ensuring that processes are safely and efficiently halted or initiated as required.

Competencies:

  • Training of the members involved in the operation of the processes

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • Recognised BTEC qualification, preferably HNC in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience of setting machines up to 1300 tonnes in an automotive manufacturing environment.
