Duties:
– Identify and develop new business opportunities in the assigned market segment
– Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
– Provide technical expertise and support to customers throughout the sales process

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are met and projects are delivered on time
– Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts

Skills:
– Strong technical background with a solid understanding of engineering principles
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams
– Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in a technical or engineering field
– Ability to analyse customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
– Strong negotiation and closing skills
– Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
– Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools

Ability to follow up on leads generated by Sales

Electrical Assembler

Major Recruitment are currently seeking electrical assembly technicians for our client based in the Batley area of West Yorkshire

JOB SUMMARY

Required to assemble components for and to various Fire and Rescue Vehicles, within a busy manufacturing environment.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (non-exhaustive)

  • Assembling Electrical control systems.
  • Installing electrical harnesses, emergency lights and other components.
  • Following and understanding instructions and direction.
  • Inspection and quality control.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • To undertake any other duties as is reasonably required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a similar environment desirable.
  • A working knowledge of CAN is desirable.
  • The ability to read and follow wiring schematics is essential.
  • Ideally hold a relevant qualification e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Be able to work as part of a team or independently as required.
  • The ability to work to deadlines.
  • Although it is envisaged to initially be a dayshift role, this is a shift working contract.

This role will become a shift pattern after training

Auto Electrician

Major Recruitment Huddersfield are currently seeking experienced auto electrician for our prestigious client based in Batley West Yorkshire

JOB SUMMARY

Required to carry out vehicle electrical installation work on a wide range of HGV based Fire and Rescue Vehicles. The work involves adhering to customer specifications precisely and within set time scales. Often the work must be carried out at high levels and, additionally, from low levels and inspection pits.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (non-exhaustive)

  • Installation of low voltage (12/24v systems) including major controls boards, fuse boxes and harnesses.
  • Installation of aftermarket including CCTV systems, tyre pressure monitoring and VDS systems.
  • Installation of Fire Service specialist equipment including LED lamps, light bars, siren systems and pump control panels.
  • Installation of mains electrical systems (240v) including chassis battery cables, battery charging and ‘jump start’ systems, auxiliary batteries and RCD/MCB circuits.
  • Installation of CANbus systems including controllers, control screens and telematics systems; a working knowledge of CAN is desirable.
  • The ability to follow engineering drawings.
  • Be competent to use hand tools, including soldering and crimping as part of the role. minimum requirement.
  • There may be occasions when you are required to work in other workshop departments.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • To undertake any other duties as is reasonably required.
