Major recruitment Limited are currently looking for production operatives to join their client based on the elms farm estate in Bedford. This roll is for a full-time position with the potential of a permanent contract following a successful trial period.

The role involves

  • Working food production
  • Weighing out ingredients
  • Mixing ingredients
  • Working the machines
  • Following health and safety standards
  • Heavy lifting involved

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in working in a busy environment
  • Able to work as a team
  • Willingness to learn
  • Can get to Elms Farm industrial estate reliably
  • Must be able to lift 30kg consistently throughout the day

  • Supervising the despatch dept

About the role – Warehouse supervisor

  • Organise and collate customer orders for despatch
  • Ensure daily despatch dates are met
  • Carry out or supervise the final quality checks prior to despatch
  • Supervise the packing area to ensure that goods are packed efficiently
  • Involvement in the packaging and palletising of products
  • Ensure that the Company despatch schedule is kept up to date with despatch information
  • Cover administrative role when personnel are on annual leave or on sick leave

About you – Warehouse Supervisor

  • Previous Supervisory or managerial experience is preferred
  • A good approach to prioritisation of daily tasks and keeping a cool head under pressure
  • A common-sense approach to problem-solving
  • Computer literate
  • Comfortable working to strict deadlines

Major are recruiting a TIG or MIG welder for a local production warehouse based in Bedford. This is a temp to perm role, after 12 weeks probationary period you will be offered a perm contract.

Welder – about the job:

  • You will be producing manufactured standard and bespoke aluminium and steel products using Mig and Tig welding equipment.
  • Manufacturing aluminium and steel grilles and diffusers for the ventilation industry
  • Liaising with Production Manager
  • Some manual handling
  • Handling raw material and metals

Welder – about you:

  • Experience in TIG welding – you will be welding aluminium grilles and diffusers for the H&V industry.
  • Some operating understanding with Steel Mig welding equipment is preferable but not essential
  • Able work on own or in a small team Work to tight deadlines
  • Good grasp of basic numeracy
  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
