7.5 Ton Driver – Based in Slough

Salary – £13.30h Temp to perm for the right candidate.

We at Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5 Tonne driver for multidrop.

Our client is a fantastic company to work for and are now looking to expand their team and continue to grow and develop their business.

Working Hours: Monday – Saturday 04.00am start. 8-12-hour shift, you will work 1 Saturday in 6, no Sunday work.

One day off during the week when working on a Saturday, this is done via a rota.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate a 7.5-ton vehicle safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations and company policies.
  2. You will be loading your vehicle in the mornings, delivering frozen, chilled and baked goods to events, Pubs, Restaurants and schools .
  3. Transport goods or materials to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
  4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  5. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery manifests, mileage logs, and vehicle inspection reports.
  6. Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  7. 10 to 12 drops a day.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating a 7.5-ton vehicle, with a clean driving record.
  2. Previous experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in a delivery or transportation role.
  3. Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes, with the ability to navigate efficiently.
  4. Physical fitness, as the role may involve heavy lifting and long hours of driving.
  5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients and coworkers.
  6. Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork and recording information.
  7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  8. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • QTS
  • SENDCo or willingness to achieve within 2 years.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Accredited training in specific areas of special education,

Job Summary

  • To work with the Head teacher as part of the senior Leadership team in all aspects of leadership and management and to take responsibility for managing and developing learning and teaching, curriculum, assessment, and enrichment throughout the designated phases of the school.
  • To take a central role in assisting the Head teacher, to develop our school in accordance with its shared values and our school development plans.
  • To develop the schools Special Education Needs (SEN) provision and oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising SEN pupil achievement.
  • To ensure each pupil’s EHCP paperwork, review, reports and actions are undertaken within statutory timescales
  • To hold the role and responsibility for the designated teacher for the school, with responsibility for helping develop strategies and protocols, and understanding the issues which can affect how both looked-after and previously looked-after children learn and achieve, including attending PEP meetings, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed within timescales and to a high standard
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties that the Head teacher may request in support of the effective running of the school.
