Position: Production Operative/Mixer

Location: Clitheroe BB7 1QL

Two shifts available to choose from

Shift Patterns:

5 days a week:
AM Shift: 05:45 – 14:30 Monday to Friday / Overtime on Saturday available
PM Shift: 14:30 – 23:30 Monday to Friday (finish time vary based on volume) / Overtime on Saturday available
Breaks: 1x30min unpaid & 2x10min paid

Immediate start

Pay Rates:
AM Shift: £11.67 per hour (Basic) & £17.51 per hour (Overtime)
PM Shift: £12.25per hour (Basic) & £18.38 per hour (Overtime)

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and physically capable individual to join our team as a Mixer. This role is integral to our production process, requiring a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately.

As a Mixer, you will be responsible for combining ingredients in large mixing bowls, using your hands to ensure proper consistency. This task requires significant physical strength, as you will be lifting raw materials weighing up to 20kg. Good communication skills are essential, as you will need to coordinate with different departments, particularly when ordering raw materials from the warehouse. The work environment maintains a chill atmosphere.
We are seeking individuals ready for permanent employment and willing to work full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed recipes and instructions to combine ingredients accurately
  • Mix ingredients in large mixing bowls using hands to ensure proper consistency
  • Lift and handle raw materials weighing up to 20kg
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to order and manage raw materials
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during the mixing process
  • Monitor the quality of mixes and report any discrepancies or issues promptly
  • Work flexible hours, including potential overtime on Saturdays, to meet production demands

Please note that duties involve handling meat, specifically pork

Requirements:

AM Shift: £11.44 per hour (Basic) & £14.30 per hour (Overtime)

After 12 weeks:
AM Shift: £11.44 per hour (Basic) & £17.16 per hour (Overtime)
PM Shift: £12.01 per hour (Basic) & £18.02 per hour (Overtime)
