Hamilton Woods are currently working with a well established manufacturing business based in Coalville. As a Machine Operative you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth production processes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production line machinery to ensure efficient and accurate operation.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely, following company policies and safety documentation such as risk assessments, control procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Promptly and transparently report any safety issues, accidents, incidents, or potential hazards related to the environment or equipment, in line with company guidelines.
  • Support and uphold site cleanliness by following designated cleaning schedules.
  • Consistently adhere to and uphold quality standards and procedures.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any disruptions or failures affecting productivity or processes.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Forklift Truck Operator (Counterbalance)

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts – mornings and afternoons

A well-established manufacturing business based in Coalville is looking for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Operator to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous FLT experience who is comfortable working in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment and takes pride in working safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move materials throughout the site
  • Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing goods accurately and efficiently
  • Moving, organising and storing stock in accordance with site procedures
  • Completing daily forklift and equipment checks and reporting any faults or issues
  • Working in line with all company health and safety procedures
  • Supporting wider warehouse duties when required
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment

Requirements

  • Valid Category B1 or B2 FLT licence – essential
  • Previous forklift experience within a warehouse, manufacturing or similar environment
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
  • Reliable, practical and safety-conscious approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work rotating morning and afternoon shifts

A fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics and transport operation within a growing manufacturing and distribution business.

This is a hands-on transport planning role focused on the daily scheduling and route planning of multiple loads. You’ll be responsible for planning efficient delivery schedules, coordinating vehicles and drivers, and ensuring multiple deliveries are allocated and dispatched on time.

Working closely with customers, hauliers and internal teams, you’ll play a key role in making sure daily transport plans run efficiently and issues are resolved quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and schedule multiple daily loads and deliveries across the transport network
* Build efficient delivery routes, considering locations, timings, vehicle capacity and delivery requirements
* Allocate loads to appropriate vehicles and hauliers
* Monitor and adjust routes throughout the day in response to delays, changes or operational issues
* Build and update loads on the internal transport planning system
* Coordinate directly with customers, hauliers, drivers and warehouse teams
* Manage inbound and outbound calls relating to deliveries, routes and schedules
* Identify and resolve delivery or transport issues quickly and efficiently
* Investigate orders that have not been delivered or processed correctly
* Produce and review transport reports to identify issues and improve planning efficiency
* Maintain accurate transport and planning records
* Support the wider transport team to ensure all daily loads are planned and dispatched on time

Ideal Background:

* Previous hands-on transport planning / route planning experience is essential
* Experience planning multiple loads and deliveries simultaneously
* Experience working directly with B2B customers and hauliers
* Strong understanding of transport scheduling, routing and vehicle utilisation
* Experience within logistics, transport or distribution environments
* Confident using transport management systems and Microsoft Office
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Able to remain calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced operational environment
* Proactive, reliable and highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Carrying out routine equipment checks before use and reporting any issues
  • Following all site health and safety policies and guidelines
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties, including maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Requirements:

  • Valid Category B1 or B2 forklift licence is essential
  • Previous experience working in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of health and safety practices within a warehouse setting

Class 1 HGV Permanent

Class 1 HGV Night Driver (Moffett Preferred but Not Essential)

Location: Bardon Hill, Coalville
Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, PM starts

The Role

We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Class 1 HGV Night Drivers to join our National Client in Bardon Hill, Coalville.

This role involves carrying out unmanned deliveries to customer sites. Experience with Moffett deliveries is preferred; however, full Moffett training will be provided to the right candidate if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out unmanned deliveries to customer sites safely and efficiently.
  • Complete Moffett deliveries where required.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
  • Work independently while also supporting the wider team when needed.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve processes and service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 12 months’ Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
  • Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph (Digi) card.
  • Moffett licence preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
