Requirements

  • Must have an HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving licence with 2 years experince.
  • Have excellent customer service skills as will be dealing with customers daily.
  • Understanding of driver’s hours and working time directive.
  • UK Driver CPC Card
  • UK Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than 6 points
  • Experience in a fridge environment desirable

INDVH –

Forklift Driver

JP Recruitment are pleased to be working with a Warehousing Company, based in Corby, to recruit several Forklift Drivers. The company uses Counterbalance forklifts, however our client is willing to put successful applicants possessing other forklift licences through an in-house conversion course.

Shift patterns we are recruiting for:

  • 4 on 4 off days and nights rotating (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am)
  • Day shift (08:00am – 16:30pm) Monday to Friday
  • Night shift (20:00 – 04:30am) Monday to Friday

Overtime is available paid at time and a half.

Specific Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Operating the Forklift to transport goods in and around the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading trucks.
  • Stacking and organising pallets accordingly.
  • Ensure correct health and safety measure are taken at all times.

You will ideally hold a Counterbalance forklift licence however other forklift licences (Reach, Flexi/Bendi etc) will be considered providing you are willing to undergo a 2 day in-house conversion course.

Positions starting ASAP, these opportunities are on-going with a strong chance of permanency for the right candidate.

Trade plate drivers

We at Major Logistics have some fantastic opportunities for Car Delivery and Collection/Trade Plate Drivers to start immediately

These are self employed roles and you will be working on behalf of one of the UK’s fastest growing vehicle delivery companies, whose specialism is the movement of vehicles between dealership locations or direct to customers across the UK.

These roles are advertised to start immediately

Experienced car delivery/trade plate drivers are preferred, for this role

however some commercial driving experience is necessary

Full training will be given

The business operates 5 days per week Monday to Friday

You will start your working day from home each day following 2 days’ hands on training in Leicester

About you:

  • You will have a passion for driving, this is paramount
  • You must be able to work under your own initiative and take instruction as required
  • Held your Full UK Driving license for a minimum of 3 years
  • Computer literacy is important
  • You will be organised and able to plan your day
  • You will possess a good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland
  • Posses excellent communication skills are essential
  • Excellent customer service skills are also key, this is not just a driving role, excellent customer service is the critical element in what you do
  • A good attention to detail
  • Must be of smart appearance
  • You will be confident and able to use public transport
  • Ideally you will have a DBS in place, however this can be actioned as part of the on-boarding process
  • You will be ok working in a Self Employed capacity

You must understand this is not a 9-5, Monday to Friday role 9-5, there will be early starts as you must be at your first delivery by 08:30am, there are no exceptions to this and you will be required to plan your journey accordingly

You will have off-road parking(driveway) or a designated parking bay, road parking is not allowed

No more than 6 points/endorsements allowed for minor offences,

Due to the insurance criteria on this role, applicants must have experience driving within a professional or commercial capacity

INDVH –

Class 1 Driver

Major Logistics are recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to work in the Corby area, carrying out trunk runs.

PAYE Rates (with holidays paid as extra):

Mon to Fri Days: £16.00 ph

Mon to Fri Nights: £17.00 ph

Weekend shifts will be paid at an enhanced rate

Hours:

Shifts available Monday to Sunday, depending on your availability.

Start times anywhere between 02:00-19:00. Nights out / Tramping work available, if preferred.

Duties:

Class 1 Trunk runs, mainly to RDC’s

Requirements:

Class 1 (CE) Licence

In date CPC and Digi Card

Minimum 6 months experience required
