Major Recruitment is recruiting for an NPD Process Technologist on behalf of a leading food manufacturer based in Coventry.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy New Product Development team, supporting products from concept through to launch. You’ll be involved in recipe development, factory trials, product testing, technical documentation and working closely with Operations, Technical, Engineering and Purchasing teams to deliver successful new products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support NPD projects from concept to launch.
  • Develop recipes and conduct kitchen and factory trials.
  • Complete trial reports and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate nutritional, microbiological and shelf-life testing.
  • Ensure products meet quality, food safety and cost targets.
  • Work with internal teams, suppliers and customers to deliver projects on time.

About You

  • Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience in NPD or food manufacturing.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence is beneficial.
