Major Recruitment are looking to recruit Class 1 Drivers for a client in Darlington. This vacancy is Tramping (Monday to Friday). Duties will include:

  • Nationwide branch deliveries.
  • Minimal loading/unloading (mostly done via forklift)
  • Managing own drivers hours.
  • Daily/weekly vehicle inspections.

Hours of work and pay rate are:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • 4x nights out per week.
  • £14.00 per hour (PAYE)
  • £21.00 per hour after 50 hours per week.
  • 10-12 hours per day.
  • Weekly paid
  • Regular work.

Candidates must have:

  • Full Class 1 Licence.
  • Digi Card.
  • No more than 6 points.
  • 6 months experience on class 1.

Major Recruitment are looking to recruit Class 1 Night Trunk Drivers for a client in Darlington. Our client is a provider of 3PL to customers nationwide. Due to increased workload, they are looking for additional support on nights.

Candidates must hold:

  • Current Class 1 Licence.
  • Digi Card.
  • Drivers CPC.
  • No more than 6 points for minor offences.

Duties include:

  • Trunk work to other manufacturing sites and customer depots.
  • Daily weekly vehicle inspections.
  • Completing POD paperwork.

Hours of work and pay rate are:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Approx 1800 starts.
  • £15.00 per hour (PAYE).
  • £22.50 per hour (PAYE) after 50 hours per week.
  • 10 – 12 hours per shift.
  • Weekly paid.

  • Report any concerns to management within the service
  • Have confidence in carrying our personal care requirements
  • Have confidence dealing with complex needs and challenging behaviours

Person Specification:

  • 6-12 months experience working with Children and Young People in the health and social care sector
  • Have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young Person’s Health and Social Care OR be willing to work towards this qualification
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour and/or complex needs
  • Be reliable and professional
  • Preferably hold a current, transferable DBS (registered on the update service)
  • Approach employment as a Children and Young Person’s Support Worker in a ‘hands-on’ way and be willing to work as team
  • Preferably hold a clear driving licence, with access to a vehicle
