HGV Tyre Technician

Major Recruitment Watford are currently looking for experienced Agriculture Mobile HGV Technichians to join our client based in Blandford. The role is available for an immediate start and is permanent from day 1.

As a HGV Tyre Technician you will have:

  • A Mechanics Level 2/ 3 qualification
  • Experience in a truck environment
  • Competent in tyre fitting and repairs
  • Full valid Driving Licence
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in a professional workshop environment
  • Ensure the work is carried out in line with Company policies and procedures
  • The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • The willingness to constantly learn and improve your knowledge
  • The ability to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your work

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Complete fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments
  • Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations
  • Ensuring you do not work on any product or service that you have not been assessed as competent in or trained to carry out
  • To maintain accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures
  • Making customers and/or management aware of any additional faults found on the customers vehicle

The main purpose of the role:

Required for September 2023, a dynamic, well-qualified and committed Lead Practitioner to join the Maths teaching team.

  • Essential: PGCE, QTS/QTLS, Level 5 diploma or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
  • To be able to teach Entry level 2 & 3, Functional Skills Level 1 & 2 and GCSEs in Maths
  • Desirable: Experience of working in a school environment, ideally in specialist education.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Good teaching and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective skills in planning, preparation, recording and reviewing students’ progress.
  • Good IT skills and understand of how IT can be used to support learning.
  • Ability to remain calm and reflective when working in a challenging environment.

Location: Cranborne, Dorset

Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour + £25 per night shift worked (approx. an additional £4,000 per year)

Annual Salary: £25,025.00 – £27,300.00

Hours: 7.45pm-8.15am- 4 on 4 off shifts- average of 43.75 hours per week. Part time hours will also be considered.

The role

  • As a Night support worker you play an important role with the young people you are not just night support worker you can make a difference to our young people life’s
  • No experience needed – Increased rates for those with experience
  • Your role will be to help prepare the awesome young people that the college support for adult life and facilitating their transition into further education, training, or employment.
  • Ensure all health/medical needs are looked after throughout the night
  • You will be the listening ear and emotional support for young people to talk to after a busy day
  • The key to this role will be your ability to participate and to motivate whilst ensuring our students develop their own independent living skills.

Skills and Qualifications

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate (No experience need – we’ll fund all your training):

  • Willingness to participate, be positive and creative in meeting our young person’s needs
  • Able to support and develop independence skills such as budgeting, cooking, housekeeping as well as accessing the wider community
  • Ability to prompt / encourage in a positive manner whilst providing social/emotional behavioural support
  • Ability to show a strong understanding of what “good care” looks like and how to put the young person’s needs first, whilst empowering them to be independent
  • Due to our rural location access to transport and a drivers licence is essential
  • Given the age of our students all applicants must be 21 and over
