We are recruiting an Engineering Team Lead to manage and develop an on-site engineering team within a high-performing manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safe working practices, maximising equipment up time, and delivering effective planned and reactive maintenance.

The Role:

  • Provide direct leadership and management to the engineering team, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant working practices.
  • Plan maintenance activities and allocate resources to maximise asset reliability and operational up time.
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship through regular monitoring, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Manage health, safety, welfare, and environmental standards within the work area.
  • Promote and embed a continuous improvement culture across the engineering function.
  • Support site food safety culture and improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure effective and cost-efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules are adhered to and CMMS systems are fully utilised.
  • Ensure sufficient trained and competent resources are available to meet operational, H&S, food safety, and audit requirements.
  • Complete shift reports and ensure actions are clearly communicated and followed up.
  • Carry out appraisals, performance management, and development discussions.
  • Work flexibly across departments or sites as required to support business needs.

About You:

  • Minimum SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience leading or supervising engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of planned maintenance, CMMS systems, and safe systems of work.
  • Proactive, hands-on leader with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Confident communicator able to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Electrical Engineer

A manufacturing business is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support production through planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and continuous improvement of plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance.

  • Reduce downtime and support productivity improvements.

  • Manage PPM tasks and lubrication schedules.

  • Monitor machinery during production and identify potential issues.

  • Assist with spare parts management and contractor installations.

  • Complete scheduled maintenance work and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Skills & Experience

  • Time-served electrician and 18th Edition (preferred).

  • Level 3 electrical qualification (minimum).

  • CMMS experience (advantageous).

  • MHE experience or licences beneficial.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Team-focused decision maker.

Working Pattern

  • 4 on / 4 off shift rotation

  • Days & nights (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)
