Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a permanent Plant Manager for their client who is a multi-national building materials company

Hours of work – 48 hours, including sat mornings

Overtime available at time and a half

Location – Gloucester


  • Getting ready mixed concreate ready for delivery
  • Loading concrete mixers with aggregate
  • Ensuring the product is delivered to customers on time
  • Reporting
  • Looking after the whole plant
  • Responsibility for your own Health and Safety and any visitors or contractors to your site
  • Completing weekly and monthly stock checks
  • Controlling drivers, visitors, collect and cash customers coming onto site, projecting a professional image and ensuring that site rules are complied with at all times
  • Reporting defects
  • Working with management and contractors to control and organize plant maintenance as required
  • General housekeeping and site improvements.
  • Enforcing environmental policies and procedures and keeping records up to date.
  • Updating and monitoring records within the PACS system.
  • A flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with business requirements is essential

Person Specification:

The successful candidate should be self motivated, responsible and have excellent inter-personal skills.

* Flexibility and initiative are essential for this demanding and rewarding position.

* A good level of physical fitness.

* A basic understanding of batching systems would be desirable.

* Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers.

* Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

* Previous experience in concrete/mortar production would be beneficial.

* Full driving license

Service Advisor

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Service Advisor in Gloucester for their client who is the largest independent commercial approved dealership in the UK.

Hours of work – 5 days a week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 17.30pm, 45 hours per week.

12 month fixed term contract covering maternity


  • Providing exceptional customer service using various forms of communication for example in person, phone, or email.
  • Assist with the daily planning of vehicles in the workshop ensuring full utilisation of time available.
  • Updating customer on their vehicle progress whilst in our workshop
  • Scheduling services required for customers.
  • Dealing with customer queries.
  • Exceeding customer expectation by ensuring you are part of a Brilliant Team which provides a quality service to all customers getting their vehicles back on the road to keep our country running

Power BI Developer Main Duties:

  • Developing and maintaining visual reports, scorecards and dashboards via Power BI desktop.
  • Creating and maintaining Power BI datasets to ensure consistent data use through report landscape, and to empower colleagues to customise their own reports.
  • Develop and maintain write-back reporting to several SQL databases.
  • Build and develop pipelines to ensure implementations are automated in line with IT procedures
  • Assisting with the regular review of support incidents to help reduce or resolve further occurrences

Power BI Developer Role Requirements:

  • Must a have understanding of the following:
    • Power BI or similar BI reporting solutions
    • Microsoft SQL
    • Proficiency in DAX
    • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Two year’s experience in a similar role
  • A good understanding or rational modelling
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification (Desirable)

We are currently recruiting for our clients Main Dealership for an Automotive Service Advisor based in the area of Gloucester.

Experience is not necessary as training will be provided for the right candidate.

Job Requirements:

Appropriate telephone techniques and etiquette.
Safety policies and procedures.
Automotive systems (e.g., understanding of basic vehicle layout, function, and location of parts)
Warranty guidelines and how to accurately apply them to warranty service orders (warranty policies and procedures)
Retail/wholesale standards and adherence to those standards.
A professional appearance and an enthusiastic attitude
