Meaning they are currently looking for an experienced & passionate Depot Manager, you will be given the autonomy to lead and develop the Hinckley site (Warehouse, Transport, Sales, Customer Service), giving the right candidate the opportunity to grow and develop with our organisation.

The successful candidate will ideally possess an extensive knowledge and network of the construction/building materials industry along with the ability to manage high profile customer accounts for both new and existing business. You will also have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity which will enable sales target achievement.

  • Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, administration, and sales
  • To ensure site health and safety practices are current and adhered to by all employees, customers and visitors
  • Manage the depot’s fleet and ensure legal compliance is monitored and maintained.
  • Deliver all aspects of people management
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
  • Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans
  • Meet the company’s goals and metrics
  • Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
  • Bring out the best in the depot personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation
  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
  • Share knowledge with senior management on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and depot needs thus ensuring consistent depot practices
  • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
  • Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration

£24,000 + OTE of £7k bonus (uncapped commission)

Full Time (Mon – Fri 8am-5pm)


Our client who has their head office in Leeds with 3 other depots across the country are growing again, they have set up a BRAND-NEW customer success department and are recruiting 5 people for it across the UK. This a super exciting opportunity for anyone who is experienced and keen on building long term relationships with customers, both existing and new! They are a fabulous company who are rapidly growing across the UK with a progressive & secure culture.

Role Overview

Actively win business from new and existing customers via phone and email. Create and follow up on quotes. Generate new leads and set appointments for external sales team. Negotiate pricing where necessary. Welcome new customers. Regenerate dormant accounts. Keep accurate CRM records. Understand customers’ requirements and build relationships. Meet sales quotas and report weekly. Upsell additional products.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for a specific depot’s internal sales and profit growth
  • Creating and following up on quotations
  • Lead generation and engaging with cold prospects
  • Welcoming new customers and maximising opportunities
  • Reducing customer churn
  • Regenerating dormant accounts
  • Building strong, lasting customer relationships
  • Keeping accurate CRM records
  • Supporting our field-based sales team

Key Attributes/Skills they are looking for:

  • Sales-driven with ability to offer exceptional customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a desire to close deals

  • Superb organisational skills and adaptability to fast-changing situations

*Some travel will be included so a UK full driving license is ideal*


  • £24,000
  • OTE of £7k a year (uncapped commission)
  • 28 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays (Jan-Dec) Christmas closure taken from holiday entitlement
  • Salary is paid on a weekly basis (one week in arrears)
